GARDENING

The gardening section has 3 permanent employees in addition to clients of the therapeutic community, who grow vegetables for the community kitchen and maintain plants and flowers around the building. Gardening primarily serves the internal needs of Magdaléna o.p.s., with the exception of wreaths for Advent or All Souls’ Day, a limited number of which are sold at local markets. One workshop is devoted to the production of ecological briquettes made from waste wood.

It is relatively easy for clients without professional training and experience to engage in gardening work, primarily due to the fact that they are introduced to gardening as clients of lower phases of community treatment.
